DFI is certified to weld aluminum, stainless steel 4130, carbon and nickel alloys, our quality control is in compliance with AS9003. A few welding certifications we hold are AWS D17.1, D1.1, D1.2, ASME B31.1, NAVSEA 278, Lockheed Certs STP 55-104, 5 PTPET 01, and FPS 1095. DFI has the capacity to produce anything from small machined parts to 30-foot long, 15,000 lb weldments.
Chromium is actually the metal behind stainless steel. If a certain amount of chromium is added to steel, it will qualify as stainless steel. One of the best benefits to having stainless steel is that it is so resistant to corrosive action, this is because of the thin protective coating it has from its chromium content. Stainless steel parts and products can be found in cars, airplanes, appliances, kitchens, and factories. Depending on the purpose of the steel, various amounts of nickel, and other metals are used. The steel is often made to be non-heat-treatable or heat-treatable. Various widths, thicknesses and hardness levels are also used. These combinations determine the grade, quality, durability and prices of the steel. One common use for Stainless Steels as a counter top material and is because it is durable, impervious to water, easy to maintain, and can handle heat. Dynamic Fabrication specializes in Stainless Steel counter top fabrication. A brushed stainless steel surface hides scratches and smudges and wears better than a highly polished one. Look for a grade of stainless that contains a high content of chromium and nickel. This will increase its resistance to corrosion.
